# Pay in the console

At Call launch, buyers will review x402 terms and pay exact USDC from a browser wallet without giving vAPI Network custody.

{% hint style="info" %}
Call is launching. The console does not serve Call yet; this page describes the launch flow.
{% endhint %}

Use the Call page when you want to pay for an API with a browser wallet. You review the live x402 terms before signing, and vAPI does not hold buyer funds or sign for you.

## What you approve and sign

The console supports x402 `exact` payments in USDC on these networks:

* Base, `eip155:8453`
* Arc, `eip155:5042`

The wallet shows an EIP-3009 typed-data authorization for the exact amount and the listing's payee. The authorization also names the network and token terms from the live quote. There is no gas or approval transaction for this payment.

See [Networks and schemes](/call/reference/networks-and-schemes.md) for the payable networks and the schemes that Call displays but cannot pay.

## Steps

1. Open [Call](https://api.vapinetwork.ai/call).
2. Open a listing with **Live x402**.
3. Choose **Use this API**, then choose **In the browser**.
4. Fill the inputs and run the free price check.
5. Read the live 402 terms in the quote dialog.
6. Connect your wallet, then approve and sign the exact EIP-3009 authorization.
7. Read the response and settlement reference in the page.

Listings using `upto` or `auth-capture` can appear in the directory, but they are not payable in the console.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.vapinetwork.ai/call/for-buyers-and-agents/pay-in-the-console.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
