# Pay for your first API

Call is launching; this guide covers reviewing an x402 quote and paying for one API request with a browser wallet.

{% hint style="info" %}
Call is launching. The console does not serve Call yet; this page describes the launch flow.
{% endhint %}

This guide is for buyers who want to pay one x402 API from the browser, with their own wallet.

Prefer the terminal or your AI app? Use the [Quickstart](https://docs.vapinetwork.ai/quickstart) for the `vapi` command, or [Pay with vapi](/call/for-buyers-and-agents/pay-with-vapi.md) for the CLI, MCP, and SDK.

1. Open [Call](https://api.vapinetwork.ai/call).
2. Use the ranked catalogue's card view or table view. Filter by **Source**, sort the results, and open a preview sheet before you visit a listing page. The Source filter has four groups: **vAPI endpoints**, **Added APIs**, **Partners**, and **External**.
3. Open a listing with the **Live x402** label. Its product-style page shows the description, endpoints, live quote, verification, fee, liveness, and identity.
4. Fill in the request inputs and run the free price check.
5. Read the live terms in the quote dialog. Connect your wallet, then approve and sign the EIP-3009 typed-data authorization for the exact USDC amount and recipient.
6. Read the API response in the page. The result includes its settlement reference.

Your own listings live at **My APIs** at `/call/my-apis`. Add one at **Add API** at `/call/my-apis/new`.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.vapinetwork.ai/call/quickstart.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
