# Fees and the splitter

The fee sits inside the price you advertise. Buyers pay no markup, and the split settles onchain, not on an invoice.

**The splitter, plainly**

One immutable contract per vendor, at a deterministic address that exists before deployment. No owner, no upgrade path, no withdraw function. Funds can rest in it, but no key can redirect them, including ours. Anyone can call `distribute()`. Funds resting in the splitter before distribution are a hold, not custody.
